Guidelines

Our shared commitment to making the Crewa running app a safe, respectful, and welcoming space for all runners in Toronto.

Our Community Promise

Crewa is built on trust. We're not just an app — we're a community of runners who show up for each other. These guidelines help us create a space where everyone feels safe, respected, and motivated to run. By using the Crewa running app, you agree to follow these standards. Learn more about how we help Toronto runners find safe partners.

Show Up & Be Reliable

Reliability is the foundation of the Crewa running app. When you commit to a run, someone is counting on you.

  • Honor your commitments — if you join a run, show up
  • Cancel at least 2 hours in advance if something comes up
  • Arrive on time at the meeting point
  • Communicate with your group if you're running late

Reliability Scores

Your reliability score reflects your show-up history. Repeated no-shows without notice will lower your score and may result in account restrictions. Life happens — just communicate!

Respect Everyone

Crewa welcomes runners of all paces, backgrounds, and experience levels. Whether you're training for a Toronto marathon or just starting out, treat every runner the way you'd want to be treated.

Do

  • Be welcoming to new runners
  • Communicate respectfully
  • Stick to the agreed pace
  • Encourage your running partners

Don't

  • Judge others' pace or ability
  • Use offensive language
  • Leave runners behind without notice
  • Make others feel unwelcome

Be Honest & Authentic

Authenticity builds trust. Represent yourself and your running accurately.

  • Use your real name and a recent photo
  • Be honest about your pace — no shame in any speed!
  • Accurately describe runs you create
  • Complete ID verification to build trust
  • Don't create fake profiles or misrepresent yourself
  • Don't exaggerate your pace or experience
  • Don't use Crewa for non-running purposes

Zero Tolerance

Some behaviors have no place in our community. These will result in immediate action:

  • Harassment or bullying of any kind
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, or any other factor
  • Sexual misconduct or unwanted advances
  • Threats or violence — verbal or physical
  • Stalking or following runners without consent
  • Sharing others' personal information without permission
  • Using Crewa as a dating app — we're here to run

See Something? Say Something.

If you experience or witness any of these behaviors, report it immediately through the app or email hello@crewa.app. We review all reports and take action.

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

Level 1

Warning

First-time minor violations receive a warning and guidance on expected behavior.

Level 2

Suspension

Repeated violations or moderate offenses result in temporary account suspension.

Level 3

Permanent Ban

Severe violations or repeated offenses result in permanent removal from Crewa.
